ANNOUNCING

OUR NEW JONNYCAKE CENTER FACILITY

Please come and visit our new

facility at 23 Industrial Drive,

Westerly Rhode Island (the old

"Guild Guitar" factory), where we

have been located since June of

2007.  You will be amazed at the

incredible size of our new space,

over seven thousand square feet

near the heart of downtown

Westerly's commercial district.

Our new larger facility has enabled us to offer new programs and work with cooperating agencies.

  • The Center operates an expanded food pantry and larger thrift store.
  • We offer coordinated services with other agencies to assist persons with emergency housing, medical and utility expenses.
  • Our new larger facility has allowed us to offer educational programs such as computer training and job skills.  In cooperation with Education Exchange of Wakefield, GED and ESL classes are offered at the Center.
  • Every Monday from July to October, in conjunction with the Rhode Island Food Bank, the Center offers fresh produce to qualified clients in the "Pantry Express" program.
  • Information and registration assistance for food stamps are available weekly at the Center.  This service is provided by staff of the URI Feinstein Center for a Hunger Free America.
Conference areas at the Center are available at no charge by appointment to local nonprofit, government or civic organizations for meetings, seminars and presentations.

The Bradford Jonnycake Center of Westerly would like to express its thanks to the Kimball Foundation for its generous financial assistance in helping us relocate to Westerly and for their continued support of our programs.
