TEEN JONNYCAKE
Some of our most dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers are students. We have opportunities for teens from local schools to put their civic spirit into action, fulfill some or all of their community service requirements, and work together with old and new friends as a volunteer at the Center.
"Teen Jonnycake" is an organization of young people who donate their time and talents toward helping people in our community. They run their own meetings, plan their own events and work with a coordinator/advisor to develop goals for the program. It's a great way for teens to develop leadership and problem-solving skills and build a resume for a college or job application.

Teen Jonnycake members don't even have to come to the Center to work on projects. Fund-raising events like bake sales, car washes and bowl-a-thons, among others, also help us in our mission AND count toward service requirements for school, church or community.
Another benefit of membership in "Teen Jonnycake" is eligibility to apply for one of 4 scholarships available through the Jonnycake Center each year in June.
